And at times, when we are juggling in between day to day professional and personal chores, yoga eye-exercises beckons!

No doubt, from centuries, yoga eye-exercises have helped many people improve their eyesight. These are simple and easy-to-do exercises that can be done anywhere anytime.

Here in this blog, I will be sharing 5 yoga eye-exercises to help you get optimal eye health.

So, without any further ado, let’s see:

This is the first exercise that is very simple to perform and is very effective for relaxing your eyes.

All you have to do is gently rub your hands and then cover your eyes with the cup of your hands and place fingers on the forehead. And then remove after 10 seconds. Repeat this activity for atleast 5 times.

By doing this, your eyes will get rest and you will feel relaxed.

#2 BLINKING

This is the second important yoga eye-exercise that can blink the stress away.

It is again very effective and can be done anywhere anytime.

All you have to do is blink your eyes rapidly for about 10 seconds.

It works best for tired and dry eyes. You can do this exercise three times a day.

This exercise does wonders to office goers who have to spend 8-9 hours staring computer screens and smartphones.

#3 STRECHING

The third easy yet effective eye-exercise is Stretching. If you are a gym person, you might have heard and done body stretching.

Eye stretching is similar to this. In this, you have to move your eyes left, right, up and down. You can do this for a minute

Also, remember to keep your head straight and don’t move your neck while performing eye stretching exercise.

This exercise will help in improving blood circulation and relaxing your eyes.

#4 HOT & COLD COMPRESSES

Have you heard about hot and cold compresses exercise before? Mostly, people are unaware of this exercise.

I, myself have tried this exercise many times and the results are really very good.

You have to take a bowl of hot and cold water. Take two towels, dip one in each bowl. Now place hot towel on your eyes and eyebrows first, take warmth for about 5 seconds, remove it and then place cold towel for 5 seconds.

Repeat this activity for atleast 5 times.

#5 FOCUS EXERCISE

If you have ever been to an eye doctor, he/she must have recommended you this focus exercise as it is best for strengthening week eye muscles.

All you have to do is sit at some comfortable place and keep your index finger around one hand distance and focus on the tip of the finger.

Now, after 10 seconds, bring your finger closer to your eyes, maybe at a distance of 10 inches and again focus on tip of the finger.

Once again, bring the finger more close to eyes, this time it may be 6 inches.

Repeat this activity for atleast 3 times.

FINAL WORDS

So, here are the 5 super easy eye-exercises that can be done at your home or office or wherever place you feel comfortable.

They are simple to do and are super effective in relaxing your eyes and improving your eyesight.

Along with the exercises, eat fresh green leafy vegetables. Include vitamins and minerals rich diet including apples, almonds, and carrots. Plus, drink a lot of water.
