Valentines – the day gives goosebumps to all the lovers out there who are planning to propose their love this February.

And I, Rohit Patel, have nothing to do with this day as I was a singleton & was ok with the status.

Just like other days, I woke up this morning and as my daily routine, I surfed the internet to check the latest news.

What? Today is Rose Day

“I wish I had a girlfriend, I wish I would have bought a rose for her” – my heart screamed.

And suddenly, ouch…I felt a pinch in my right eye.

What was that now? I wondered.

And I heard my inner voice saying – what about me this rose day Rose is a symbol of love, don’t you love me?

I started laughing, on a thought that my eyes are demanding a rose from me.

A rose? Yes, a rose! I keenly told this whole instance to my office colleague Piya as well!

She too was laughing badly and looked at me like I am mad.

I thought it’s a whole lover’s week and it is going to be tough for single people as every day of the week is like a reminder that you are alone in this romantic world.

Anyways, next day was a new fresh day, the day has come for which I was straining my eyes from last five days, I reached office early, gulped my espresso and presented a business proposal to the Managing Director.

He was happy with my efforts and I was too satisfied

What about my proposal? As if again someone whispered this to my ears.

I rubbed my eyes and playfully uttered to myself – what proposal?

“You will take care of me and I will show you the world”

I again laughed at this silly thought – a love proposal from an eye!

Days were passing and then came Promise day!

By passing on road, I was watching young boys & girls roaming hand in hand.

And seeing them was making me lonelier.

I was wondering why I don’t have anyone who wants a promise from me 🙁

And on the very next second; I heard

Promise me that you will always love me – My eyes blinked a little and blushingly signaled.

I reached the office and thought about the signs my eyes were giving me past few days.

Now everything was clear like suddenly the sun came out of the clouds.

A rose meant eyeglasses; a proposal to take care was a regular eye checkup and forever love promise was to have good eye health.

What’s next?

The next morning was Valentine’s Day – I went to ClearDekho – affordable eyewear shop and bought a good pair of glasses for my eyes.

Now my eyes were happy and this time I whispered to my eyes – Yes, I fell for you!

Hope you like this blog!
